Instructions to Connect to the Lineage II server hosted at Soznet.net

This little instructional presentation is a basic guide to getting your client updated to access our server.

Step One: Install Lineage II Client!

Obtain the TEST client from the official Lineage II site. You must make sure you
download the test client from their download section, NOT the official client release.

Step Two: Update you hosts file!

The next step requires you to go to your \Windows\system32\drivers\etc\ folder.
Open the file hosts (NOTE there is NO . extension).
Go to the very last line and hit enter to start on a blank new line.
On the blank line enter: 69.119.216.47 l2testauthd.lineage2.com
Save the hosts file, this step is done

Step Three: Correct Load Icon.

The default installation of Lineage II Test client installs a icon or boot file called LineageII.exe. DO NOT run this file. Best
to just select it and send it to the trash bin. The correct file to load is located in your Lineage II folder and then the sub
folder called system. Within the System folder will be a file/icon called l2.exe. L2.exe IS the correct file to load your client.
Please make sure you only click on this file. Clicking on the Lineage II.exe file or the Lineage II icon that is palced on your
desktop, can ruin your install and force you to remove then re-install the client from scratch. If you know how your best bet is
to Right click on the L2.exe icon and select Send To, then say desktop as shortcut. This will place a copy of this icon on your
desktop that you can use to launch your client for proper connection to the server hosted here at Soznet.net.

Step Four: Login and Play!.

If you have successfully followed the above three steps, you should be ready to go and join us in game. We look forward to seeing you online.
